I was sure I saw my processor listed but maybe I clicked W10 as it isn't now.
I'm happy with 10 but eventually it will be deprecated. Then I have a choice between adding 11 in the hope it works or move to Linux. At least it is possible to find support for many types and ages of processors there.
I am retired now and don't have much money to spend on computers, one reason why I made the configuration I did. I'd have to buy something in four figures to run my graphics software and have to buy new programs. A cheap laptop just wouldn't cut it.
Plus I know that if you replace a processor often the motherboard has to be replaced. Those two make up most of the component costs.
I'm very disappointed that Microsoft doesn't cater for older equipment. I have a laptop that won't run higher than Windows 7 because it has incompatible hardware, but it runs Linuxfine abnd I can get all security updates on that OS as long as it doesn't become a doorstop.
