Will microsoft be remaking the wheel mouse optical 1.1 (WMO) with a newer sensor?

Hello. I had this question because of the new intellimouse pro that microsoft came out with. The thing is though, the shape of the original WMO is loved by many and is considered to be the best ambidextrious shape ever. If it was updated with a newer sensor, like the intellimouse pro was, it would be a big hit. There are no current clones that copy the WMO shape which is bad for people that love the shape because there is no current way to get a newer version of this mouse without 3d printing and modding. The intellimouse has tons of clones however that are loved by many. Releasing the WMO with newer specs would be amazing and I was just wondering if there would ever be plans to do it in the future. Thanks, - Drake.

Hello. I recently did a mod where I put a G403 PCB into the WMO.

Microsoft WMO G403 Hero mod : MouseReview (reddit.com)

Here you can see it. It's fairly simple if you know how to solder.

WOW man, this looks great. Once I did a g102 mod in my WMO. But, unfortunately, it only lasted 2 days. Its scroll wheel was so delicately soldered that it was broken. It seems like you didn't change its left, middle, and right buttons' PCB. If you have more pics of the pcb - how you did it and share it that would be great.
