Install Android Subsystem on Win 11

I recently purchased an Acer laptop. It was loaded with Win10 home. Windows Update made Win11 home available and I updated. I attempted to install the android subsystem, but was unable because, I assume, I am physically located in Thailand. I am a US citizen, staying in Thailand on a non-immigrate visa. I have a US mailing address and can provide a US phone number, if required.

What do I need to do to install the subsystem? TIA

    Hi Chuck,

    You need to use the Powershell Admin to install.

    When it is finished installing, open an elevated PowerShell window. To open an elevated Powershell, Press the Win+R keys on the keyboard and type Powershell in the dialogue box. Afterwards, press Ctrl+Shift+Enter and press yes when prompted.

    Type the following command to change the Directory to the root of the C drive.

    CD /

    Then install the MSIX Bundle using this command:

    Add-AppxPackage 2.msixbundle

    I am Sumit here to assist you with this question.

    If you are not based in US currently, you would have to install WSA manually. Steps here:

    The only other option I am afraid is Microsoft makes it available for everyone outside US.

    Thanks for your prompt reply. I downloaded the file, however, I received the following message when I tried to install it: I was able to install it from the store by changing my region to US. But couldn't login to amazon because my current account has my address here. Any idea what I need to do to install this msix?
