High CPU usage from Windows Audio.

I turned on Mono Audio in the sound settings which dropped CPU usage down to nothing from Windows Audio. Dual or multiple audio channels are spiking CPU usage by multiple programs more than 10x. Windows 11.

Same problem, very weird issue. I fixed it by disabling Speakers - Realtek(R) Audio in sound settings. I don't use the English W11 version, so I hope below terms are correct.

Go to: System -> Sound -> More Sound Settings. Then disable the Realtek(R) Audio device in the first tab (play / playback). CPU goes back to normal.

Try to scan your computer using the free version of Malwarebytes scanner to check if there are malware or adware running in your device.

Once downloaded and installed open the app and perform a scan and check for infection.

Once the scan is done restart your computer using cleanboot.

Restart and check.

If issue persists proceed with these steps.

-Go to Control Panel

-In Control Panel, select Large icons from the View by drop down menu.

-Select Sound.

-Select the Playback tab

-Right click Speakers and click Properties.

-Click the Enchancement tab

-Disable all enhancements

-Click Advance tab

-Uncheck the box to "Allow Application to take exclusive controls on this device"

-Click OK.

Restart and check

Hello, i have a very wierd problem.

Somehow Service Host: Local Service (Network Restricted) Windows Audio is making my CPU go high 90%

Everytime i end the process svchost.exe (LocalServiceNetworkRestricted -p) it returns to normal usage.

I have tried (updating, Asus troubleshooting, Disabling and reinstalling device).

Any Ideas?
