Windows Essentials is no longer supported:

    Windows Essentials (microsoft.com)

We're no longer offering the Windows Essentials 2012 suite for download, but if you already have it installed, it will continue to work as it does today. It reached end of support on January 10, 2017, and it isn't available in Windows 10.

    Windows Essentials 2012 included:

    • Windows Movie Maker
    • Windows Photo Gallery
    • Windows Live Writer
    • Windows Live Mail
    • Windows Live Family Safety
    • OneDrive desktop app for Windows

Windows Live Mail 2012 remains the latest version.

It's part of the software suite called Windows Essentials 2012, which still works in Windows 10 (just the same as any other 32-bit program).

For Windows 10 users, the best version of Windows Essentials 2012 to use might be this one (which comes with some helpful additional notes on the Archive.org page) -

Windows 10 users are reporting success at signing in, after a Windows 10 update broke Windows Live Mail, using the following procedure:

    1. Uninstall Windows Live Essentials 2011, or Windows Essentials 2012, using the Revo uninstaller.
    2. Install this Archive.org version of Windows Essentials 2012 instead.
    3. After the reinstall, restart your computer.

    Hi Debra ABrauberger,

As replied by Gérard Oomens, Windows Live Essentials is no longer supported since 2017.

Since you are running Windows 10, why don't you try Mail app that comes with Windows 10? Give it a try & see. Can check Mail and Calendar app from Microsoft from Microsoft Store too.
