Unable to disconnect from cast device with Media Player 11.2203.30.0

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 11 pro and decided to test the ability of the new Media Player to cast individual files to a TV on my home network. It worked perfectly; once and then never again. When the video ended the TV returned to its original state but when I opened Media Player and tried again it indicated it was still connected to the TV and apparently cannot be disconnected. Trying to cast to another device on the network fails. The disconnect button does not work. Even after a reboot the situation remains unchanged. I even tried using the Windows and TV app to do the same thing, but it too showed an unbreakable connection to the device. I am still able to cast from websites within the browsers with no issues. All drivers are up to date. Any ideas? Perhaps Microsoft developers should look into this for a future update or release of this app.

Hi, my name is Anderson Souza, I hope I can help you with your issue.

Have you tried removing the app and installing it again to see if the problem persists?

Thank you, Anderson. That did the trick. I was able to cast several different videos to my TV. My only concern is that it might happen again if I let a video run its course and walk away. I am careful to disconnect before the video has completely stopped.
