USB microSD card reader fails to mount in Widows 11

I have 2 USB 3.0 microSD card readers. A SanDisk MobileMate & an Anker dual card reader. Both worked flawlessly on my PC under Windows 10 but neither will work under Windows 11. They both show up in the Device Manager under Other devices. I cannot get Windows 11 to recognize the devices as USB devices. I've tried deleting / reloading the devices and updating drivers. I've tried using different USB ports, shut down / reboot and verified that both devices work correctly on another laptop currently running Windows 10. Nothing I do makes them work under Windows 11. I am using a 2020 Lenovo Thinkpad E15 that originally ran Windows 10 but has been upgraded to Windows 11. Please help.

I actually thank that in my 2nd post. But I guess you missed it. I can do it again. Thanks for providing me dated material that did not fix my problem. Feel better?

How can it be a hardware issue when both readers worked on the PC when it ran Windows 10 & still work on another PC that is currently running Windows 10 as I stated it the very first post? Or did you miss that one while you were busy breaking your arm patting your self on the back for being a microsoft MVP for 10 years?

    Sheesh!

Yes. I tried them all. And I believe you missed my point. The links you provided aren't going to be useful to the general user. Having worked with microsoft operating systems professionally as both a programmer and hardware as a hobbyist for over 40 years I was able to find the the corresponding settings by digging around a bit. But yes. I tried all the suggestions you provided along with a lot of other methods I found via google. I find it abysmal that a microsoft site would suggest a third party (like tom's hardware) to address issues with it's own products. Speaks volumes...

Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately none of your links provided the correct information to resolve the problem. Additionally, the links you provided are rather dated. The first link provides detail that does not work in the current version of Windows 11. I do appreciate your attempt to help but thought you might like to know that your links are no longer current.

Hi Olice. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Try these fixes for SD card reader not working in Windows 11:

Hello, the fixes for card readers are the same across editions of Windows. Fixes for WIndows 10 work in WIndows 11 which is essentially the same OS with a new GUI.

All fixes I gave are for WIndows 11 and from 2021 or 2022. So how exactly are these dated?

As an SD card reader is a hardware issue, and as I've already give you everything possible to try for WIndows related to SD card reader, I would ask this question at the best hardware forums. Tom's Hardware forums here:
