Cannot install photos app.

Cannot install photos update and now I cannot open it on my PC. This happened after the last cumulative update for Windows 10 Pro. I get the attached error code.

    I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Windows user like you. I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you. What is your current Windows version and edition? Press Start then click Settings(Gear icon), select System then About.

    Please try the following methods below.

    1. Update Microsoft Photos app

    Open Microsoft Store then click Library

    Update Microsoft Photos or click Update all

    1. Repair Photos App

    Press Start then click Settings(Gear icon)

    Select Apps > Apps and Features

    Find Microsoft Photos in the list then click it

    Select Advanced options > Click Reset

    1. Uninstall Photos App

    Press Windows key + X

    Click and Run Windows PowerShell(Admin)

    Copy and paste the command below then press Enter

    get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage

    Proceed to reinstall Photos App

    1. Go to the Microsoft Store then download and install the Microsoft Photos App

    or copy and paste the command below then press Enter

    Get-AppXPackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

    Restart your computer

    I tried these things with no luck. The photos app still will not update in the Microsoft Store. It might be a glitch in the last update.

    Photos is working fine now but the update from the windows store update will not install. I think I'll wait until my next Windows update.

    Hello WallaceOtting,

    Thank you for updating me with that information. If you just recently installed the windows update, Please try performing a System Restore at an earlier date where everything still works.

    Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: rstrui.exe

    Press Enter. This will open System Restore

    Click the Next button.

    Choose the restore point at an earlier date where everything still works.

    Click Next then Finish
