So you have to try to change the WiFi driver, downloading a different version from the one currently in use from the official website of your laptop manufacturer.

Wireless roaming has nothing to do with the fact that your laptop cannot detect 5 GHz networks. You can act on wireless roaming if at least the WiFi network is detected but in your case the network is not even detected.

But do the other devices in the house detect the hotspot's 5 GHz network? Is the use of the 5 GHz band allowed in the region where you live?

When I say router I mean 5 gHz hotspot from my mobile(s20+ 5g) only. No my laptop has never connected to 5 gHz... If possible can you tell how much roaming aggressiveness shall I keep?

    Hi RockerRocks ,

Have you checked if your laptop can connect to other 5 GHz WiFi networks? If you have a smartphone, set it up as a Hotspot and check if the laptop can connect to the phone's 5 GHz hotspot network.
