Where to find the past windows 10 opening pictures and its linked info page

Hi everyone,

The subject line says it all. I saw the beautiful opening screen late last night. It was too and I was tired, so I didn't check the links on the screen that introduce what's in the picture. This afternoon when I started the PC, the opening screen already changed to a new picture :( So where can I find the past pictures and its info? I know the screen will come back, but it will take a while, and may not even come back at all.

Regards,

John

Hi John, my name is Jose, a Windows user like you. I'll be glad to help you today.

The path to get previous Windows Spotlight images is:

%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets

Here you'll get a list of file without extension. Bigger files are Windows Spotlight images. You can copy then to other location then add the .jpg extension.

The information about those pictures is not available because those file are ciphered.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

Microsoft doesn't show the same image to every computer at the same time, so it's really not practical to keep track of which computer saw what image at a particular time. Sorry about that.
