Hi,

I need to check if I can upgrade windows server 2019 to 2022 in-place or not, specially there is no official upgrade path for it till now.
If yes, what is the pre-requisites for that ?

Thanks.

    Hi @alaa elrayes ,

In-place upgrade is supported from Windows Server 2019 to Windows Server 2022, it is however always recommended to clean install.

There shouldn't be any prerequisites required, for more information about the in-place upgrade, see:

    Hi @alaa elrayes

Yes, it is possible to perform in-place but it is not recommended. A clean install is the best option.

A clean install is the simplest way to install Windows Server, where you install on a blank server or overwrite an existing operating system, but you will need to back up your data first and plan to reinstall your applications.

For detailed steps on the in-place updates, you can follow these articles.

    Hope this resolves your query!
