I wonder if your issues are connected and your printer needs a new firmware update as well...

How do I remove a virus / malware from my Printer? It is connected to my PC via USB, but also network capable. It has a USB port which we use to scan to at times. Will running an antivirus scan fix it? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the device, but to no success. Thanks

Hi Becwi74
Thank you for that in-depth explanation.
I do not think your printer has a virus, that would be so rare, it really would, it is not a Windows error, because the problem exists even when not connected to your PC., I do believe there is a software problem on your printer, and it would be best to take your printer to the repair center.
Hi there
Hi Becwi74
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
1
Please provide more information on this problem, what symptoms are you seeing to indicate you have a virus on your printer, that would be very unusual.
2
When you indicate you have re-installed the device, did you go to the support page for the printer on the manufacturers website, then from there, download and install the device drivers and associated software they provide for your printer?
