Cannot boot into Windows Recovery Environment

I cannot get my Windows 10 PC into the Windows Recovery Environment. I followed the procedures offered in another (now closed) thread (see below), but my computer does not enter the WRE. Is there an other way to get to the WRE?

Here's the previous thread and recommended steps:

You will need to access the Windows Recovery Environment (winRE). In your case, to do this, you will repeatedly turn your device off, then on:

  1. Hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device; (If the device is ON when starting the procedure)
  2. Press the power button again to turn on your device;
  3. On the first sign that Windows has started (for example, some devices display the manufacturer's logo with spinning dots when starting), hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device;
  4. Press the power button again to turn on your device;
  5. When Windows starts, hold down the power button for 10 seconds to turn off your device;
  6. Press the power button again to turn on your device;
  7. Allow your device to fully start. You will enter winRE..

    Restarting the device several times doesn't work. That's the problem I'm having. Multiple restarts fail to put my computer into recovery mode

    Hello 👋

    Open a cmd window as administrator and type reagentc /info.

    It should display something like this:

    If on "Windows RE status" it shows "Disabled", type reagentc /enable to enable it.

    Then close the CMD window, restart your PC and check if you can boot into WinRE.

    You need to do it inside Windows, not on the USB.
