Touchpad on Logitech K400+ wireless keyboard stopped being detected by windows all of a sudden

Hi,

I've been using a Logitech K400+ wireless keyboard for my HTPC running Win10 for about half a year. A couple of days ago the touchpad stopped working. The keyboard works fine and there's some sort of connection to the touch pad as I can click and right-click on it as well as use pinch gesture to zoom in and out. However, just using the touch pad for moving the cursor does not work.

In the Device Manager, under Keyboards, I see Logitech HID Compliant Unifying Keyboard entry. But I don't see a separate touch pad entry. But under Mice and other pointing devices, all I see is HID-compliant mouse. So it's as if Windows does not see the track pad at all.

The Logitech K400+ connects using a usb-wifi dongle. I've tried pluggin the dongle in to another computer and it works perfectly, so I know it's not the dongle or K400+ tha's the problem.

I'd really appreciate thoughts and suggestions as to what's going on.

Hello, I’m Virginia, I have 20 years of expertise in fixing my own & friends’ PC problems.

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing problems. May I ask which Windows 10 build are you running - 2004, 20H2, 21H1 or 21H2?

Are you also using the Unifying receiver software & Setpoint software?

Do you have a separate mouse connected?

Have you opened the unifying software & ensured that the touchpad registers?

Have you opened Setpoint & reset the keyboard to default?
