How to see device connection history in Windows 11

I am having the issue where the device connection sound beeps periodically. I want to see which device is connecting/disconnecting to cause this. I have eliminated the sound driver in the monitor as the source as suggested by other answers. I believe the issue to be a bad mouse, but I want to confirm by accessing the history. Does Windows 11 maintain a history of device connections and how do I see it?

The reason why I think it's a bad mouse is because I tried a different one and the sounds went away. That doesn't answer my question. Does Windows 11 maintain a history of those connections? I also unplugged wireless game controllers and bluetooth devices along the way. Further testing shows the sound comes back with that particular mouse. So it's confirmed to be the mouse. It would be nice to see if the problems started with a driver update, history would be good for that. I can also think of various security reasons why someone would want to history of connected devices.

Here is how to view USB device history in Windows:

If the mouse in confirmed to be causing it then you can reset the mouse with it's button underneath (if it has one), change it's battery, change it's USB port, try it in another PC. There are more steps to troubleshoot a mouse here:

HI Stumpy. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

Have you tried another mouse to see if that solves it? Might be easiest.

Otherwise this is a known issue with fixes here:
