Graphic card GTX860M not working anymore ?

Hello !

I don't know if my gtx860m is broken or something but it's not useable since a long time. I realised that I can't play anymore because of this but I just realized it because it seems that my processor was able to launch them !

I tried updating to windows 11 but nothing changed.

I have a warning sign over my NVIDIA Geforce GTX 860M in Display drivers in Device Manager

I tried this drivers:

352.84

381.65

425.31 => This one seemed to remove the warning sign at a moment, but nothing more

516.59

In System > Display > Graphics > (Some App) I can't choose another gpu than my processor. In System Information > Components > Display gtx860m appears second after processor and I have:

Some updates on windows update are pending and tend to fail to install since but idk (KB5015814)

In DirectX Diagnostic Tool, the gtx860m doesn't appear.

In C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Control Panel Client clicking on ncvplui doesn't open the nvidia control panel (it appears for a second in the task manager then disappear). NvGpuUtilization launches. I tried: Other drivers like I said Restarting services Turn off fast startup This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WR6f0mPfat4

I'm basically out of solutions so if anyone has some suggestions that would be greatly appreciated !

    Thanks for your responses.

    Well well well... So I have tried full repair of windows, boot windows from CD and "updating" to windows 10 with MediaCreationTool and nothingg worked.

    I always have a blue screen and:
    SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
    What failed: iaStorA.sys

    or DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL (iaStorAV.sys)

    And by checking quickly internet it seems that I need to repair my windows or update drivers which makes the full circle of doom I guess.

    Anything ?

    Instead of all this I'd just clean install Windows. Dism and sfc won't fix everything such as registry issues.

    Literally, you could find out the same day if its a problem OS installation, have it 100% clean, and know for certain if it can work or not as it should automatically just work on clean install and be there - I don't think anyone needs to install an Nvidia driver during Windows installation or at least I've never see this happen in case you have a super weird computer.

    You could also maybe check the BIOS. Its possible that it could be there. You can also try removing all power to the computer for 1 hour and then try as that can sometimes fix hardware missing.

    After all that then I'd say its probably broken but not until at the very least.
