The original retail version of the software uses SecuROM. The demo version does not. Due to security reasons, this form of DRM is disabled by default in older operating system updates for Windows 7-8 and completely removed in Windows 10 and above. If the maker of the software does not provide an updated version for the disc version that strips this DRM, you will either need to digitally repurchase the game without the DRM or download a no-CD/no-DVD cracked version of the program executable that strips out SecuROM to get the game to run on Windows 10.

Another option that exists is to manually install the SecuROM or compatible driver in Windows 10 that was removed by Microsoft for security reasons. How to install SECDRV.sys to play games [github.com]

    Hi TafalFiedor98

Thank you for that information, please try this fix.

Right click the LEGO Star Wars gam icon and select Open File location, to access the install folder in File Explorer.

Right click on the 'detectGPU' file, choose Properties

Select the Compatibility tab, and set that to Windows XP (service pack 2).

Save that setting and check if the game will open.

if not, go back to the game folder and delete the BIN file, then try the game again.

    Hi TafalFiedor98

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That is a very old game originally created for Windows XP that may or may not work in Windows 10.

Have you installed the DirectX 9 runtime which is required for that game from the link below?
