Service Name: "wlidsvc" shows up as Service Name: "Microsoft Account Sign-in Assistant" in the list of services for me.

    Hi Tiaan Freeman,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant is a service that early users used to log in to their Microsoft accounts (then called Windows Live ID),may I ask where you are currently seeing it? If it still exists on your computer, there is software that still needs it. I suggest you open the Services, find out if Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant is available, disable it in the service, and see if you can turn it off completely. Here are the steps:

    1. Type services.msc into the start search box and press Enter. This will open the Servicessnap-in of the console.
    2. In the list of services, locate the service and double-click on it to open its properties dialogue.
    3. In the Startup box, select “disable”from the drop down, then click OK.
    4. Restart your PC

Please feel free to let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,
