Hello,

I don't understand the following message which I get when I want to create a VM via Azure CLI.
Creating a VM works fine manually.

"Marketplace purchase eligibilty check returned errors. Organization is in deleted state"

Can anyone help?
Thank you.

note: the tag system is very bad here. I couldn't find any so I had to pick one randomly as it is mandatory and I cannot type free text.

François

"Organization is in deleted state" indicates that the customer did not update the billing account owner for the Subscription before removing the previous owner. This will require you to create a support request from Azure portal so that the engineering team can set a new billing account owner for you.

You would need to provide the following information to the support engineer after creating the support request:

Account Owner, Microsoft Account, or Organizational Account:
First and last name of the Business Contact :
The telephone number on the account, including the area code:
The Subscription ID(s) and products that are related to the request:
    Company name:
Address ZIP Code or Postal Code:
    Current Account Admin:
    Target Account:

Please refer to this article on Transfer billing ownership of an Azure subscription | Microsoft Learn for more details and to avoid this error in future.

    Hi.
This subscription never changed owner. The only changed is that we linked to our MS 365 a few month ago. Can it be related?
