Hi. I used another OS, but i decided to install Windows 10. Before i installed Windows, i used DBAN's Quick Erase option to remove the information from the previous OS. Did i do a good thing? Should the HDD be erased, so Windows can be installed in a clean environment, or is Windows able to delete the old information, partition the HDD, and install itself, without me having to delete information and partition the HDD?

When performing a clean install of Windows it is not necessary to perform additional drive cleaning unless your troubleshooting drive problems.
For a clean install all partitions are deleted creating an unallocated disk drive.
Using a bootable Media Creation Tool (MCT(Windows iso) the default partitions are created and a fresh version of Windows is installed.
Drivers and applications are then installed.
Again there is no additional benefit in cleaning a drive unless your troubleshooting drive problems.
