Thanks for this information. When using iCloud, this software uses the free space in disk C prior to transfer files to the destination. If the disk C does not has 30 GB or more, please try to move less data. Verify which free space does the disk C has.
"There is not enough space on Windows" error
I am trying to transfer a large number of photos from my wife's iCloud to a 2TB storage drive (D:) on my computer. Based on the properties of the D: drive, I currently have 1.64TB of free space in the drive:
But when I go to move 30GB of data from iCloud to D: I am getting an error that "there is not enough space on Windows". Can someone tell me what is happening and how to fix it? I found one thread where unlinking One Drive helped some people, but that does not seem to have helped in my situation.

2022-07-08T21:52:10+00:00 Thanks for the input. I do mean iCloud. My wife has an iPhone and I downloaded the iCloud for Windows app to access her photos from my File Explorer. Jose's suggestion seems to be working. I was trying to move an entire year's photos at one time and was getting the error message. However, I've since started using 1 Quarter's photos at a time and have not run into a problem. It's slowing me down, but it's working.
So it appears there is something about iCloud using the C: drive as storage before the actual transfer happens.

2022-07-06T23:35:05+00:00 Do you mean OneDrive? iCloud (Apple, inc.) is not a Microsoft cloud service.
If using iCloud then once you get the files on your PC from iCloud you just move them to your D drive.
If you want to move these files to your OneDrive then from your description I see the problem you may be encountering. For one, the OneDrive folder by default is not located on drive D but can be moved there. In order for OneDrive to backup files you must use this OneDrive folder for your data storage.
Your Pictures folder in file explorer will move to this OneDrive folder when you activate the backup. So if you want to auto backup your Pictures folder in file explorer I can help you do that by posting some videos here.
But unless you intend to buy more OneDrive storage space you probably won't want to use OneDrive. So you will need to explain more about your intentions.

2022-07-06T21:38:49+00:00 Hello Jose!
No, I apologize, that was a typo on my part! It's 30GB of data. An amount my D: drive should have plenty of room to acquire. I appreciate any assistance you can provide!

2022-07-06T01:33:19+00:00 Hi Blake, my name is Jose. I'm a Windows user like you and I'm glad to assist you with this issue.
Could you please, clarify this: do you are moving 30TB from iCloud to 2TB disk?
I suppose there is an error in the iCloud total data.
Could you confirm this information, please?
