Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1766)

StarTech USB drive connector

HGST HUS724040ALE60 SATA 6

The drive shows up in Device Manage but not in Explorer. I need it in Explorer so I can format, partition and use it.

How do I troubleshoot this?

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you.

The drive may not have been initialized, you can use Disk Management to initialize and format the drive.

1-Right-Click on Start then click on Disk Management

2-Right-click on the Drive and select the option to create a new partition or volume and follow the instructions.
