BSOD - IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL ntoskrnl.exe error

Hello

I have been getting a lot of BSOD lately, I've tried everything I can think of to fix it including reinstalling drivers like Nvidia to fully resetting my laptop. And now I'm out of ideas.

I tried using Verifier and Blue Screen View, and it says the ntoskrnl.exe is causing the error.

I mostly get BSOD but other times my laptop will just freeze or get a black screen, and It's very random. The only times it won't crash is when I've got a game running.

But I'm still unable to fix whatever that problem is and get rid of the BSOD

Is there anyone that can help me please?

    Hi Calebx

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    1

Have you now disabled Driver Verifier, because that can cause false positives.

    2

Please upload any minidump files you have, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.

    Hi Calebx

Your minidump files just indicate memory (RAM) corruption no specific driver is listed

    1

Boot your PC into BIOS, if there is an XMP profile set on your RAM, disable that, set it to default.

    2

Wait to see if your system stabilizes, if not, the best option is to download the widely available free utility MemTest86, then run a full 4 pass scan with that to test your RAM for physical errors

    Hi Dave,

So I tried to run the verifier but this time I ran into a problem. After trying to restart my laptop I couldn't get it to boot up again. So I had to restore it to a previous backup. I'd prefer not to try that again.

There was a minidump created though so I've uploaded it to Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l2ofwsie7815nz3/Minidump.rar?dl=0

    Hi Dave,

So the crashes and BSOD errors have started again.

I ran the MemTest86 but it came back with 0 errors

    Thanks Dave,

I'll try to boot into BIOS and update shortly.

I have run the MemTest86 before but it said 0 errors found, if the BIOS boot doesn't work then I'll run it again
