Block stolen laptop

Hi guys,

I'm writing this because i can't block my stolen laptop. I tried many times. I followed this post: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/find-and-lock-a-lost-windows-device-890bf25e-b8ba-d3fe-8253-e98a12f26316

I really need to block my stolen laptop and leave a note to the thief so maybe i can get it back.

What should i do now?

    Oh, so do I have any other option here? Because i don't think it will be connected to internet. Also, they can do a hard reset, right? And then I could not lock it anymore. Am i right?

    Hi Caio,

    Thanks for the fast answer.

    I can see my laptop as listed, but i can't locate nor lock it.

    Firstly it told me that the laptop could not be blocked and now it tells me that it still can't be blocked but that they will sent me an email whenever they can lock it.

    What's the error message you get when following the steps provided by Microsoft? Can't you sign in your MS Account or the device isn't listed?

    Unfortunately that's the only option =(

    They can do a hard reset if it wasn't encrypted (BitLocker must have been turned on).

    Microsoft can only lock it when the machine gets turned on and connect to internet =(
