Windows 11 full trial

I am attempting to run windows on a Mac via Parallels. I need to unlock windows 11 by activating it. I really only need to see if it works with sound settings and in order to do that, need an activated copy. I don't want to waste $140 to find out that what I need it to do, it won't do even after it's activated. Does Microsoft offer a full trial?

    Hi Victoria,

No, there is no setting, usually you can make the changes, but they will not stick after a restart, this must be something new Microsoft have implemented.

Is this a newly installed version of Windows?

    Hi Victoria,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is no trial version of Windows, when you install it, you generally have a small amount of time to use it before you then must activate Windows.

You should be able to run Windows 11 and check the sound settings you are referring to, the only problem with inactivated WIndows11 is that any settings changes you make will be discarded when you shut down Windows.

Thank you for the reply. I cannot change the sound settings, at all. It says it must be an activated copy which is a really big bummer. I am installing a copy directly from the Microsoft website, so it is not a bootleg copy, it is a true version, is there a setting I need to change to be able to test the sound setting capability?

    Thank you!
