temp files and .tmp are showing in main folders in windows 11

Dear Sir

The .tmp files are showing in my main folders.

For example which ever folder I am working, the .tmp files are getting into it.

I tried to search in environmental variables, all seems ok here but still the .tmp is coming in main file/folders.

Please advise.

Best Regards.

    Dear Dave

    Greetings of the Day!

I tried your option, when all done and restart I was happy to see that all .TMP files were gone.

But when I am reworking in the same folder (generally with Excel) that is generating .TMP files again.

When ever I am trying to delete these files, it goes with Ctrl+Shift (ONLY) and when I refresh the page/re-login the folder all the .TMP files are present.

    Attaching screenshot for your reference.

    Please advise.

    Best Regards

    Hi Mohammed,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

The Temp variables in System Variables in the bottom pane are not set correctly.

Set the two temp variables to C:\Windows\Temp

Then delete the temp files that have been created and Restart (not shut down) your PC and check if the problem still exists.
