Hello there,

I have a dual monitor setup with one set on portrait(flipped) orientation. Whenever I go to Personalize -> Background -> Right Click a picture and "Set for Desktop 1", it sets the same wallpaper for both monitors. When I select "Set for Desktop 2, nothing happens.

PLease help me with the issue. I am using Windows 11 and its up to date.

Okay I had the same problem so can you report the bug for me since my PC doesn't let me but basically with windows 11 you can change the wallpaper for each desktop but for some reason you can't change the the monitor wallpaper unless you get rid of all the desktops then you have the option to change per monitor.

    Steps to fix

    1. Windows button + TAB
    2. get rid of all the desktops at the bottom of the screen but 1
    3. go to your background setting, right click on a picture and wala it now says monitor instead of Desktop

please note that if the displays you want to change the background on are mirrored they can't have different background.

You are literally the only person who actually helped. Every other help forum just kept saying the same thing. This is the only thing that actually fixed it.

I think the fact that this can happen without you knowing is ridiculous.

Thank you so much for helping
