Permanently Disable Driver Signature Enforcement on Windows 11

Hi,

I have windows 11 and for some reason Audio and Webcam drivers are not recognized saying it couldn't check driver signature (when in fact they are).

I've went into Recovery/Advanced Startup, selected option 7 to don't validate signatures and everything works fine.

So I want to make this permanently.

-I have already tried through group policy to ignore it, which seems not working.

-I have tried using different commands on CMD (which are blocked due to secure boot)

Is there any way I can make this permanent on Windows 11?

Hate windows not letting me use my hardware.

Thanks,

PS: Please if you don't know what I'm talking about don't suggest useless troubleshooting's or non-sense steps.

    Hello,

In order to permanently disable driver signature enforcement you'll have to disable secure boot first. Then those bcdedit commands should do the trick.

Alternatively, check if the manufacturers do have updated signed versions of your audio and webcam drivers. That'll probably fix the problems permanently if you really need secure boot.

Let me know if there are any further issues.

    Hi SantiagoFernandez Devoto,

Thanks for your post in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are having issues with device drivers not being able to install due to digital signature issues.

The reason why the driver cannot be installed due to the digital signature is generally that the digital signature of the driver has expired or the driver has not been certified by Microsoft.

You may be using some older or not officially released Microsoft certified drivers. You may need to find the latest version of the corresponding driver to try.

If the device you are using is a relatively new device and the driver is recently released, the digital signature of your driver may be damaged by some third-party software. It is recommended that you exclude some possible third-party software and then try to install it.

Or you can contact the driver developer to see if they can update the driver's digital signature.

Thanks for understanding and stay safe!
