Greg, I appreciate the effort but clearly you haven't read my post
How do you change assigned monitor numbers ?
This is the current state, I want the number 2 to be number 1.
Let me clarify however:
- I am NOT looking to swap positions of monitors/ dragging them around, this is their correct configuration
- I am NOT looking to change the main display
I simply want the assigned number to change due to some full screen software being badly coded and not remembering the configuration thus always launching in the wrong monitor (monitor number 1).

There is no other stable method to change monitor numbers than in Settings > System > Display to just drag the monitors to opposite positions so that 2 becomes 1 and vice versa. It should be that simple.Tutorial:
