Back in 2019 virtually the same qustion was asked ... and the answer was similar. Back then, the answer was Win 10 is what MS has and they will update it forever, but it will always be Win 10. (Clearly, I'm paraphrasing here.)
Fast forward to 2021/22 and we now have Win 11, with rumors again being denied about a future Win 12. If anyone out there truly believes there will never be a Win 12 (or whatever MS chooses to call it) after Win 11 is naive in the extreem. History has proven that MS will, periodically, come out with a new OS that obsolesces the old, and, by the way, obsolesces your old hardware. It's the nature of the beast!
I'm not disputing the "official" response here ... that there is currently no Win 12 planned for near future release. I'm only saying that it WILL come, someday, and it WILL make obsolete the computer I will have to acquire to run Win 11 just as Win 11 is making my current Win 10 capable computer "obsolete."
I suppose it is time for me to build a new Win 11 compliant machine. After all, my old Win 10 compliant machine, though I over-built it at the time and it still performs magnificantly (for my purposes) is about 8 years old. I just wish MS would STOP making my hardware obsolete!
