I finally found the solution:
I had to reinstall PXE on the SCCM server!!!!
imaging is working now!!!

We use Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to image computers. We have new HP elitebook x360 1040 g8 laptops and we are unable to image them. We added the new Hp client pxe park along with the nic, chipset and storage drivers and still cannot image. We updated the boot image to include the above drivers and the IP4 loads and stops at where the MECM screen will appear. The laptop just sits there no matter how long we wait.
any help would be great!!!

Rahul Jindal [MVP] 10,911 Reputation points MVP2021-12-04T00:37:17.913+00:00 Hit f8 to bring cmd in WinPE. Run diskpart to check if disks are getting listed or not. If not, the you are missing storage drivers. Alternatively, the model could have nvme drive. Switch to AHSI in Bios and try pxe booting with that. If storage is fine the run ipconfig to check whether the pxe client is receiving the IP from DHCP or not. If not, then add the correct network winpe driver.

I would suggest you check your Firewall setting if you have implemented any in the HP PC.
This issue occurs under the following conditions:
-The administration service isn't enabled.
-HTTPS port 443 on the site server that the console connects to is blocked by a firewall.These articles have a workaround for these issues.
