Hi,

I Was Trying To Run Valorant But It Gave Me An Error.

DX11 Feature Level 10.0 Is Required To Run The Engine.

I Tried Running Other UE4 Games.

Some Gave Me The Same Error And Some Gave Me A Different Error And Some Were Working.

Some Gave Me "Shader Model 5.0 Is Required To Run The Game Even Thou I Have A Higher Shader Model Than 5.0.

I Looked Into The Log Files And Found That The UE4 Games Were Trying To Run On Basic Display Adapter Even Thou I Was Forcing Them To Run On My Integrated Graphics Card.

It Only Detects The Basic Graphics Card Instead Of Intel HD Graphics 620.

I Even Tried Force WARP But It Didn't Work.

    Hi Atom Gaming,

I suggest you tried uninstalling your display adapter (especially the discrete graphics card) in the Device Manager(launched by Win + X > Device Manager > Display Adapter), then restarting the system, and then manually installing the latest graphics card driver from your device's official website.

Then I suggest you run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool. Win + Q to open the search box, enter “dxdiag”, then Enter to open the program and check if whether all devices are work normally or if there is any error message.

You may try the following commands to fix possible corrupted system files. Please run Command Prompt as an administrator ("Win" logo key + "Q", enter "cmd", select "Run as administrator"), and enter the following commands one by one. These commands require network support, please keep your network stable and smooth.

    sfc /scannow

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Please feel free to tell me the progress, I will continue to help as much as possible.

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

    I Did Everything You Said.

But It Still Tries To Run On The Basic Display Driver Instead Of Running On The Integrated Graphics Card.

    I Updated My Graphics Drivers.

Automatically manage paging file size for all drives Was Already Checked.

I Tried Updating But Still Nothing Happened.

If There Is A Different Solution.

    Please Let Me Know.

    Thanks.

    Hi Atom Gaming,

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I'm Mosken, let me help you.

According to your description, I knew that you got an error when running the game, even if you've tried opening the app with the integrated graphics card. Is that right?

The first thing to be clear is that Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is software that's built into Windows that provides display and graphics capabilities when software from your hardware manufacturer isn't installed.

So, I suggest you reinstall your graphics card driver first. You may go to the official website of your device manufacturer to download the corresponding model driver, and then install it manually. After the driver installation is complete, it is recommended that you check if the device works properly, and then restart to check again.

You may follow the directions below to check system update, as most issues can be resolved with an update. On the desktop click "Start" > "Settings" > "Update & Security" > "Windows Update" >"Check for updates".

Then according to the error information you provided, I suggest you set your system virtual memory to be automatically managed by the system. Win + R to open "Run", enter "sysdm.cpl", press Enter to open 'System Properties"> "Advanced" tab > "Performance" > "Settings"> "Advanced" tab"> "Virtual memory"> "Change" , check "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives", and press Enter to confirm.

The above steps are provided based on the information I have learned so far, and hope that could help you a little. If the problem still exists, please provide us a full PSR from the beginning, through the whole process, and until the error message is displayed, so we can further investigate.

    Best Regards,
