I am at my wits end. I've taken this to the shop for random freezes, they reinstalled windows, things worked fine for a few days, and it froze again. I updated AMD Chipset drivers and scanned for bios updates for the motherboard. It lasted a week before it froze again. Everytime it freezes - this error pops up. I don't do anything crazy or dumb on my computer. Reboots just fine, all my components are compatible via pcpartpicker. I've had this issue for the last 6 months or so. I want this nightmare to end.

I'm on Windows 10 version 21H2 I Use an AMD Ryzen 5 3600; have 16gb of ram, evga nvidia rtx 2060 KO.

My MOBO is a b450 MSI Gaming Plus

I'm in tears b/c I am so frustrated. I take care of my stuff, and this didn't start happening until windows 11 started to come into view on my windows update.

Please help me.

The win11 notification under win update is simply a notification, nothing else

You update both bios & ALL drivers from that mobo maker, and the vid card from that maker, and not win update

    Run disk cleanup

Then install/run the free version of this Malware removal tool https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download

I have updated the power supply - I was told by several folks to do it based on what I have. It has frozen once since I got it. I have had my electric provider and a tech out to ensure I'm not getting brownouts - next step is a UPS. Will keep this thread updated.

"The win11 notification under win update is simply a notification, nothing else"

That doesn't really address the event viewer entry.

I'd love to know what this is and why it's doing that.

I have updated the BIOS; apparantly I didn't have the right bios and I was doing a bios that was for the wrong mobo - apparantly I have a B450 Gaming Plus max and I ASSUMED I had the lessor version b/c the lettering on the mobo didn't include the word "max"

I've updated to the appropriate BIOS released back in March for the Gaming Plus Max mobo - and the boot is lightning quick; haven't had a freeze YET. I have updated the chipset drivers for the mobo and all my other things are up to date.

We will see. I'll update this thread if it freezes again.

    Thank you for your reply.
