I have an unknown device which is likely the SimpleTech HD.
Which is why I need a driver that I can load to my computer for the Manager to load.
I have been frustrated with attempts to find a driver.

I have a new computer and pulled out my SimpleTech 96300-41001-012 external hard drive. Plugged it in and it is not recognized. No driver loaded for it.
I did notice that my old cable has a filter on it but not sure that is relevant.
Where do I find a driver for this model?

Hello Kent,
I am Jaspreet Singh.
The driver doesn’t have a downloadable driver and being such an old model it most probably is not compatible with windows 10 and 11.
The drive has a separate power supply, ensure you have connected the power supply and the USB connection ( use the original cable if possible ) then check if the drive is recognised.

Win has built in support for usb
I suspect that harddrive sata port on motherboard, connection to usb cable might be fault...
Try to insert to your friends computer and recheck it
