Hi, again, Greg. I tried your first step (repair/reset). Still doing what it was doing. I did get a hint once that my phone and desktop weren't on the same wifi network - which doesn't make much sense to me since as I mentioned I can open phone apps on my desktop. I'll try some of your other suggestions.
Phone Link issue with messaging app on Samsung . . .
I have a Windows desktop and 2 Windows laptops. I began using Phone Link and Link to Windows with my Samsung Galaxy S20+ smartphone about a year ago, and it was working perfectly. I recently changed to a Samsung Galaxy S22+, and while I succeeded in getting Phone Link to work with it on all my systems, one app is not working as it did - my Message+ app. It worked before - I was able to view all messages in my main screen, write and send lengthy responses, etc. However, when I now click on "Messages" at the top of the main screen, I get a "Send Notification" message in order for my computers to get permissions from my phone. I click the "Send Notification" button, but nothing happens. Link to Windows on the phone indicates that the permissions are set correctly.
However, if I click on "App" on the menu above the main screen, I can open the Messages+ app which presents me with the app as it is on the phone. I can type messages on the computer that way within the phone window, but it is not the same.
Since this is happening with all my computers, I'm thinking it has something to do with the phone. I have deleted the Samsung S20+ profile in Phone Link - the only one there is now my S22+.
Can anyone help here?

2022-08-05T00:21:17+00:00 Thanks, Greg. I'll try the "blue" app, although I think it was assigned the same permissions.
I'll give everything you suggested a try, and if you're interested, let you know how it goes.
BTW - I use Remote Desktop for interactions between my desktop server and my laptops. Since I would often switch between the two while using it, I anchored the taskbar on my laptop to the left side of the screen so it wouldn't overlay or underlay the taskbar on my server which is on the bottom of the screen.
My desktop is not yet supported on Windows 11, but I did upgrade my laptop to Windows 11 and lo and behold - the ability to move the taskbar to the left side of the screen disappeared. The solution of course was to move the taskbar on my desktop to the left side of the screen, but that capability seems like a silly one to dump in an upgrade.
Have you seen any feedback on this?

2022-08-04T20:01:03+00:00 Hi Stephen. I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.
I use the blue Messages app on my Samsung so if that's not what you have you might want to try that as it works better anyway.

Otherwise we need to repair the Phone app, which has the same fixes for Windows 11 and 10:
I'll give you everything possible for fixing Phone app. Even if you've tried a step please try it over in sequence here:
- First try resetting the App in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features > Phone Link (or Your Phone) > Advanced Options > Repair and then Reset. Restart PC.
- Next try re-registering the app from Option 2 here: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3175-apps-re...
- If those don't work then try the latest fixes working for Phone app:

Microsoft developers DO read feedback from customers that comes in via the Feedback Hub, so that is a great way to share your thoughts on how to better serve you as a customer.
Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.
