Hello All,

I ran windows 7 until a few weeks ago, all good..

I installed windows 10 on a separate SSD drive in my system and the dual boot worked as designed.

My windows 10 was giving me huge headaches, setting search feature wot not work, so i reinstalled windows 10 via USB.

After this second install, I can not dual boot. Windows 7, all of it files are sill on its own SSD.

window 10 and all of its files are on the second ssd. While in 10, no cure/patch would allow windows 7 to show in any prompt, boot manager etc.

I booted to bios and disabled UEFI boot mode and now it boots to 7 only and I can not see 10 in any boot manager etc.

10 is still there, all files are on its SSD. I have been searching for countless hours and every post/article is a copy and paste of another article and nothing seems to work.

Any Ideas?

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you.

Did you try to enable the option to show the operating system list on Windows 10?

    1-Open the File Explorer

2-Right-click on "This PC" and select properties

3-Click on "Advanced system settings" on the left side

    4-Click on the Advanced tab

5-Then click on Settings under "Startup and Recovery"

6-Check the option "Time to display the list of operating systems"

7-Click on Ok to save the changes and reboot your PC

Hey LetsGo . I'm Greg, 10 years awarded Windows MVP, here to help you.

When you sign in to MS Community with your MS Account there should be a separate screen that comes along asking if you want to remain signed in. If not then you need to clear your MS Community cookies in the Browser Privacy > Clear Data settings so it resets that setting so you can choose it again.

If you reinstalled Windows 10 with the Windows 7 drive attached, it should create a Dual Boot menu to choose from . If you unplugged the WIndows 7 drive, then you should set the one you want as default in BIOS Setup, boot the other one using the BIOS Boot Menu interrupt key.

If there's a failed WIndows boot menu created, you can fix it by installing EasyBCD, on Add OS screen add the other OS by type, Name you give it, and drive letter for it showing in Explorer. If you need to assign it a Drive Letter, do this in Disk Mgmt.

EasyBCD download, no registration or email needed, just click Download:

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

    No change,

On a different note,,,, How is this site so screwed up,,, I can log in,, can not see my post,, it is a constant loop of signing in.

If I do not reply again it is because this site will not allow it... It says I am signed in,,, but can not access my account..
