Can’t connect to a wireless internet on windows 7

Usually, I would connect to wifi in my computer by using a ethernet cable for my computer to my router. But now, my router is in a different room.

I want to connect to my computer without any plug. But, I literally have no option for wireless internet. In some windows 7 computers they have a option to connect wireless. I only have the option to connect with broadband or dial up.

As you can see in the image, there is no wireless option. There’s only Broadband and Dial-up. Any help to connecting wirelessly would be appreciated.

You can easily install a wireless adapter in a desktop PC that came without one. There is a very small device (about the size of your thumbnail) that you plug into a USB port. Here is an example:

    https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07P6N2TZH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

    About $20.

Since it is wireless, it probably will be slower than a wired connection and maybe subject to typical wireless interference. Try it in different ports (front or back) to see which is better.

    Hi,

Do you have a desktop PC or laptop?

In order to connect via Wi-Fi, your computer must have a wireless network card installed. Is there a wireless network card installed in your computer? If you don't know, go to Device Manager, expand network adapters, post a screenshot.

If you have a desktop PC, it probably doesn't come with a wireless network card, you can fix this by purchasing an external Dual-Band WiFi USB Adapter.
