Facing OS not supported error in Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC while Installing Visual studio build tools latest version (2022)

Hi ,

I am trying to install VS Build tools in my windows PC but was facing this issue. I have attached the photos of the error which I am facing and also system specification and windows version. Thanks in advance

    Hi Dave,

    I have two queries

    1.) Can we install visual studio build tools in LTSC Versions of windows?

    2.) If we could install, can I use visual studio 2019 version , since that supports 1703 or higher and my system is 1809 , so that I can avoid upgrading my windows

    Hi Johnson,,

    Yes, if you upgrade to version 1909 or higher, you should be able to install the Visual Studio 2022 build tools.

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for the quick response.

    So if I upgrade my windows version from 1809 to windows 10 - 1909 or higher, I could able to install visual studio build tools -2022 version ?

    You have version 1809 of Windows installed on your PC, the minimum requirements for Visual Studio 2022 is version 1909, below is the system requirements for Visual Studio 2022.
