Must press PC power button to wake from sleep.

My Dell Inspiron 3670 Windows 11 desktop has recently required pressing the power button to wake from sleep no matter how the sleep mode had been initiated.

Power management at Device Manager for keyboard and mouse are checked to allow device to wake the computer.

There have been no program additions or changes to the PC and no new apps.

I have run chkdsk/f r and DISM and they show no problems.

I have used a keyboard and mouse from another PC and have the same problem.

I have run the power troubleshooter to no effect.

Hibernation requires a brief press of the power button to wake it. Change the settings in Advanced Power Options. Hibernation is set to start automatically on a new computer after it goes to Sleep for a set time. It saves battery life on laptops but annoying on desktops.

Are you using a Dell Keybd and mouse Bluetooth wi-fi combo?

I have a 2 month old OptiPlex I'm having similar problems with. Dell have supplied replacements but it is still the same.

If I use my Logitech keybd/mouse Bluetooth combo all is OK

Currently waiting for Dell support to reply.

Hi, thanks for replying, if none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Kindly follow the steps from this link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...
