Anonymous

Hello,

My PC has started to suddenly freeze with a blue screen, with the message:

Stop Code

System Service Exception

The operating system is Windows 10 64-bit.

Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.2189)

It happened twice so far. I have placed the two Minidump files in my Dropbox. The link is:

Thanks in advance for help in resolving the issue.

Ashok

Hello, I'm A&K, here to help.

Your dump file shows a problem with the system kernel, which is a very common error, probably caused by the driver, but the dump file doesn't record the specific driver name. It is recommended to try uninstalling all major device drivers (GPU, chipset, etc.) first, then go to the device manufacturer's official website to download the latest version and reinstall it.

    Today is 08/15/2022.

The Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.14393 was installed only five days ago (08/10/2022)

    The logs displayed:

    a) BSODs with bugcheck 3B

    b) Registry hive corruption recovery on 08/10 and 08/13

    c) An out of date BIOS

    d) Failure to upgrade Windows with error code 0x8024200D

Please consider a clean install using a new Windows 10 iso:

    Hello,

Thanks for attending to my problem. Unfortunately, the solution is not very helpful. Can you provide something closer to step-by-step help?

My system is relatively simple. It's a HP computer. All the drivers were what Windows installed; I haven't installed any driver on my own.

Let's say I go to Device Manager in Control Panel. Which are the categories I should check? There's no GPU or Chipset there. There's Display Adapter (Nvidia and it says that it is working properly). System Devices tab has dozens of entries.

    Thx.

Thanks for introducing me to clean boot. I'll try it.

Please refer to: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t... Perform a clean boot, Eliminate interference from third-party applications and drivers.

After the clean boot, see if the problem persists.
