Apps & features says 200GB usage, only 12GB of programs installed, what is using this space?

Hi all,

I've been trying to free up space on my hard drive however I've encountered an issue.

If I go to storage settings, it says that in the 'apps & feature's category 202GB is currently being utilised. However the installed programs on the PC only add up to around 11.7GB. This is confirmed when opening the programs and features window which states 11.7GB total.

Above: Apps & Features showing 202GB usage

Above: Programs & Features showing 11.7GB

What could be utilising this space and how can I reduce it?

I've so far tried to use the disk cleanup function to no avail, and i'm tearing my hair out trying to figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi ObnoxiousGolem,

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click the link below to download a small free utility called Treesize.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/treesize-free...

Very Important - to run TreeSize, you must right click its icon and choose Run as Administrator.

Please provide a screenshot of your C drive in that TreeSize utility, so I can see your hard drive and work out where that space is being used and if there is an underlying problem.
