When will the e1460-b305 errors get fixed?

Since I went to windows 11 on my Dell PC in Mid-August, I have been receiving e1460-b305 errors when I try to scan using my Epson WF-2860. I tried the 3 suggestions over the internet without success. What does work is using the disk that comes with the printer or the Epson combo-drivers for windows 11 but when a restart is done, the same error occurs. I can continue to use the Epson printer disk each time I need to do a restart, but I prefer a resolution to this issue.

    Same problem here. It's maddening.

1.This was a bust. Compatibility Mode wasn't checked.

    1. Same. I can't even open the application because of this incessant error. I can't get to first base.
    2. I had previously set to automatic delayed, then reset to automatic. Neither of those worked at all.
    3. I did this method and it just said the most updated driver was already installed.

None of these methods are working. I'm about to just return it to Sam's.

May I ask whether restarting the service works?

Type services in the taskbar search box -> find Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) in the "Services" window ->

Click Restart this service on the left

Or you can go to Epson's official website to update the latest driver.

Thank You for the info. I have already tried the methods when I saw them over the internet, but I did try them again.

    1. When I tried the first method, they were no compatibility mode versions.
    2. There was no settings option for the second method. I can't get to first base.
    3. It was already set for automatic, and start was shaded for the third method.
    4. The fourth method is when I used the disk that came with the product otherwise the driver is up to date. The fourth method works but only until I do a restart.

Somehow the restart causes the problem to re occur.

The best way at the moment is to restart the WIA service, I recommended that you consult Epson's technical support if there is a solution that remains unchanged after restarting.

There is another way: Use the Windows Scan app to scan.

Note: Scanning requires an Internet connection.

    1. Download the Windows Scan app from the Microsoft Store.
    2. Open Windows Scan. Note: Windows Scan is listed as Scan in the Windows Start Menu.
      1. Select your scanner and options, if necessary, and then select the Scan button.

It works but when I do a restart the same problem occurs. It is easier to resolve instead of using the disk or download the drivers each time I needed to do a restart. I would like a solution which stays put after a restart.
