How to place an icon on desktop in Windows 11

Want to be able to go directly to that site.

I use the Chrome Browser.

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Settings

    Hi,

    Using Google Chrome, open the web page for which you want to create a desktop shortcut.

    Restore down the Chrome window size so that the desktop background is visible.

    Click on the lock icon near the URL in the address bar.

    Drag the icon to your desktop and release the mouse button.

    This creates a website shortcut (.url) on the desktop.

    Hello TomH309, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

    I understand that you want to create a link shortcut in Google Chrome;

    Access the desired website and click on the three dots (upper right corner of the screen);

    Go to More tools > Create shortcut;

    The shortcut must be created on your desktop;
