Restoro Scam

Hello,

I installed Restoro a few days ago, as I saw many review sites say it was "safe" and useful. I used a free 24 hour key and "fixed" the problems with it. Before I got the free key, I bought the year service for one device and was struggling to get the key till yesterday. I got it and put the key in and it ran a full scan and "fixed" more issued it found. I restarted my computer and it detected no issues. I'd like to note I have Norton 360 as well and it didn't detect any issues until I stepped away from my computer and came back to a PUA.Superfluss detected and quarantined. Norton removed Restoro when I was away. Norton then restarted my computer and it said the PUA.Superfluss was fixed. Today I installed Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner to make sure all of it was gone. I ran MWB first and it found 11 PUP's in my registry and quarantined the issues and fixed them. I restarted and ran Adwcleaner which found and deleted 8 issues within my registry. I followed with a SFC and DISM to clean anything up that was left. Should I be worried about any saved cards, passwords, and private files that may have been stolen? I'm not sure if Restoro does all that besides being a remote access scam and downloading ****. I'm thinking of getting a new credit card but believe I was redirected to a third party site thats trusted before entering my info. I asked this somewhere else and was told to reinstall windows. Is this really a good recommendation? I just want to make sure before I commit to a full reinstall.

Restoro just like Reimage is a total scam the prior is a total bunch of scammers just like wolves in sheep outfits probably and perhaps the latter is disguised with a new name, they are very disrespectful and will swipe your finances if you are not careful they also want to get into all your computers to do their supposedly repairs

I am repl"ying to this post here: "I just turned on my computer (after fixing it) and Restoro claimed to be Microsoft said to load a repair deal. I have Norton back as of yesterday. I tried to go with Advantage/IObit but they cherry-picked programs that are free and were constantly wanting me to purchase something like DeFrag. Defrag is on the computer as it has always been. Anyway, I went back to Norton and I have 180 days left. Long story short I downloaded this Restoro under the guise that it was a Microsoft deal as so many new things are up with Microsoft I began to think I no longer needed Norton as it is so bulky. What should I do with this Restoro. There is none to report fraud if so where do I do that? I just want to play my game and now that can be stolen and write. Please advise. Yes, I was immediately told to download Microsoft edge so I did shall I do another wipe?"

Hi, I apologize that I cannot discern your name; however, I can answer your questions about Restoro!

Restoro is a fraudulent company! There is just too many favorable ads on the internet and it causes consumers like you and me to get snared into their trap. Like Manson indicated above, Restoro has zero to do with Microsoft. They use Windows OS as their means to describe their Restoro app, which is useless based on experience! It fixs nothing! It can delete dlls and registry so that is never good. Okay, so how can you report Fraud?

    1. If you gave any money to Restoro, do they owe you a refund? Have you requested one and not received it? Here's what you can do to report fraud:

    A. Contact your bank's fraud unit and DISPUTE the Restoro transactions. Give details to this department, i.e., date of service, amount of money you gave them and for what services. Tell them about any conversation you have had with Restoro and tell this department what they said to you!

    B. You can report this Scam to the BBB SCAM. Also, you can write a letter to your local BBB office. Go to www.BBB.com, and find MY BBB. Enter your zip code and you'll see your BBB address, email, and telephone number. With my case against Restoro, I typed a letter and mailed it to the BBB.

    C. You can download a Complaint Form from the website of your State's attorney general. They have a form to print and submit by mail. I found it better to print it, write on it and mail. Be sure to find the exact department within the Attorney General's office and Restoro is a business complaint.

    D. There is the ic3 Complaint form which one can find on the BBB website. This is who investigates online fraudulent businesses. I had success completing the online form and submitting it to them. Pay attention to the specific questions on the complaint form as they ask for specific information.

NEXT: Go to www.Google.com and click onto feedback with regards to the positive Restoro ads. It is against Google's policy to allow scams/frauds to advertise. Click onto the feedback about an ad, fill in the form and briefly explain to Google why the ad is misleading! We do not want others to get caught in the Restoro fraudulent trap.

Lastly, go to www.trustpilot.com, where Restoro nudges all consumers to post a review. Go there and post your review! www.sitejabber.com is another review site to post your concerns with Restoro.

This company needs to be humbled with their egotistical bragging of their useless company.

    Good luck!

    Hi Manson--MSFT/Microsoft Community Support Specialist,

Can you kindly post the thread to the Windows 11 ISO?

I downloaded Restoro and have requested cancellation with them but they're stalling with regards to honoring my request. I am confused whether I should uninstall the app now before they affirm the cancellation or not!

So, you think it prudent to reinstall the Windows?
