How Can I type German Umlaut(ä, ö, ü, etc.) without using ALT Code like Microsoft Touch Keyboard

In Microsoft TouchKeyboard you can simply hold down the 'u' then get more options for more available varieties of the 'u' alphabets

Is there anyway to make this feature available on my normal keyboard input?

I am not looking to switching to German keyboard input all the time or using ALT code because my keyboard doesn't have keypad.

If you use the English (International) Layout you can easily type ü ö ä by pressing " (shift + ') then, pressing the letter key ( u,a,o, etc.)

    Hi Tamtong1,

I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.

It is not possible to add the "Hold for more options" on the physical keyboard. But that are other options than ALT codes to insert these characters.

What keyboard layout do you use?
