Fingerprint sign-in for Apps and Browser - Pop up Window for scan is behind windows and has no focus

Hi,
The windows security pop up window requesting finger print scan is not behaving correctly:

  • it always appears behind other windows
  • does not have input focus

I need to mouse click to bring it to front and click in it, before it will accept a fingerprint scan.

This happens with request from web browser, e.g Ebay in Chrome and Edge
and with apps e.g. Roboform

Is there a setting somewhere to force window focus when activated?
If it has any bearing on the matter, I am using multi-monitors

    Pictures better than words ...

This is what I get (Windows security window is behind and does not have focus)
    Image

This is what is expected ...

I need to mouse click the window dialogue in order for it to recognise finger print.

This affects all applications, not just roboform.

This did not occur under Windows 10, only since upgrading to Windows 11

Are you using a win user account that is an admin account?

There should not be any security prompt when you access any app/site unless that app is using two factor

    Thanks for the reply.

The user account has admin rights.

I believe two factor authentication is the correct terminology for the set up I have for ebay sign in via web browser, and also for the sign in for the desktop app Roboform.
In essence to bypass entering password and instead using fingerprint recognition.

Authentication all woks fine in both cases except the dialogue widow needs to be manually brought to front and given focus, otherwise fingerprint recognition is ignored.
