HELP PLEASE! At a loss for how to fix memory issues

Hello, I really hope you can help me because I'm somewhat at a loss to fix my laptop. It is usable but is running a bit slow (especially to open things - once things are open it's ok until it crashes) and regularly crashes.

Some of the errors I'm getting:

  1. BSOD and memory management error
  2. BSOD and kernal data inpage error
  3. Windows Security driver has issues and needs to restart
  4. Windows updates failing [FIXED]
  5. (After crashing) Repairing C: Drive

Also, weirdly:

  1. Microsoft Office unable to start errors (a reinstall usually fixes this)
  2. Sims 4 files corrupting

Some information on my laptop:

  • it's a LENOVO Legion Y530-15ICH (2019)
  • Intel i5 processor and NIVIDIA GTX graphics card
  • 8GB RAM
  • running Windows 11 Home
  • 64bit OS
  • The hard drive was replaced in 2021 (by Lenovo) when it got knocked loose in transit (to Lenovo) to have a power issue investigated

What I've tried so far:

  • reinstall of Windows 11 (which fixed the Windows update issue)
  • check for Windows updates and optional updates (all up to date)
  • check for Intel driver updates using Intel Driver & Support Assistant (up to date)
  • check for NIVIDIA driver updates using GeForce Experience (up to date)
  • run virus scan using Bitdefender (nothing found)
  • check for system updates using Lenovo Vantage (up to date)
  • hardware scan on Lenovo Vantage (no issues found)
  • Windows memory diagnostic (no issues found)
  • check for and recover bad sectors using Lenovo Vantage (passed)

Any other suggestions?!?

Edit:

More errors:
8) BSOD and unexpected store exception

More things I've tried:

  • run MemTest86 (passed, no errors found)
  • SFC scan (corrupt files found and repaired)
  • check disk (didn't work - either got 'Stop code 0xc0000218' or 'Default Boot Drive Missing or Boot Failed')
  • checked drive status in control panel ("All drives are working properly")
  • ran DISM ("No component store corruption detected")
  • optimise drives

    Hi LizzyS4,

Your minidump files just indicate memory (RAM) corruption no specific driver is listed

The best option is to download the widely available free utility MemTest86, then run a full 4 pass scan with that to test your RAM for physical errors

    Hi LizzyS4

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Please check to see if your PC is producing any minidump files, I will check those to see if they provide any insight into a potential cause of the system crashes.

    Open Windows File Explorer.

    Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump

Copy any minidump files onto your Desktop, then zip those up.

Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox... etc.), then choose to share those and get a share link.

Then post the link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you.
