    Hi Billybobak47,

It sounds like you may have allowed notifications from a malicious site. I have included a link below with instructions to block the notifications in Chrome. Please reference the "Block pop-ups from a site".

    https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3220216?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop#zippy=%2Cblock-pop-ups-from-a-site

Although the "virus detected" popups are more and likely fake notifications, I would run a Malwarebytes scan for good measure as Raniel suggested.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Dave

Good day! I'm Raniel, a Microsoft user like you. I understand your frustration regarding this issue and I'll do my best to help.

First, kindly double-check if your machine doesn't have any pending security patches. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for Updates.

Once done, I suggest that you also install the Microsoft Safety Scanner or Malwarebytes Free, then perform a scan to ensure that your machine is free from virus. Here are the links to download them:

    Microsoft Safety Scanner: https://docs.microsoft.com/windows/security/thr...

Malwarebytes Free (select Free Download): https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/

Moving forward, I suggest that you refer to this article on how to keep your computer secure: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/kee...

I hope this helps. Good luck!
