We tried and it does not work. We cannot get into Recovery Mode.
Cyberlink Power Recovery problems
My son has a Cyberlink Power Recovery installed on his Merion Erazer Engineer P10 MD35106.
Yesterday while in used the computer restarted itself and after restart there is a Cyberling Power Recovery screen that offers a restoration with or without back up. After the restoration and reboot it comes back again with Cyberlink Power Recovery.
Is it the disk (SSD) that may be faulty (the comouter is still under warranty) or is it a problem that can be solved without sending back for repair.
Regards.
Beata

2022-08-29T06:47:31+00:00 Hi Dave.
The Power Recovery appears at the start of the system (so before login screen). We shall try the options above and keep you posted if something worked. Thanks for a prompt reply!
Regards.

I am Dave, I will help you with this, that may or may not indicate a problem, that is not well known software.
1
When exactly does that Power Recover appear, is it before the login screen, or after the login screen?
2
Is there no way to bypass that when the PC starts up, to see if Windows will boot normally without that utility?

Windows has its own recovery options:
Start your PC, just as Windows attempts to load (spinning dots), press and hold Power Button for 5 - 10 seconds to perform a Hard Shut Down
Do this twice
On the third start Windows will boot into the Recovery Environment and from there you can access System Repair, Safe Mode, Command Prompt... etc.
Please try each option one at a time, then see of Windows will boot.
Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - Startup Repair
See if Windows startup can repair itself
Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Option - System Restore
Check to see if you have a restore point you can go back to
