So i was just playing valorant on my acer swift x (SFX14-41G) with ryzen 5 5600u i accidentally sleep my laptop and when i try to login with my fingerprint it wont work. So i checked my event viewer and found out that the tpm encountered an unrecoverable error with event id: 14. So i was just wondering if it's the game issue or hardware issue since tpm is more like hardware but this problem happening when i update my valorant to the latest version but i dont see any people with this problem please help im in a dead end now

Hi, I have the same problem, did you find a fix for it?

When I run tmp.msc or on Windows Security, the TPM is perfect.
At the moment I start Valorant, the TPM 2.0 is disabled. The only way to re-enable TPM is to shutdown and restart PC.
This behavior started since last week.
No clue about what Valorant or the anti-cheat Vanguard are doing.

    Hi,

the TPM stores encryption keys used for Bitlocker etc.

If you have device encryption/Bitlocker enabled, you will need your recovery key after you reset the TPM in order to access your data. (or you disable it while you reset the TPM)

Read more about Device Encryption here: What is device encryption, and should I use it? - Microsoft Community

Make sure you have it disabled, or you have the right recovery key ready.

Also, you may need to reset your PIN again after this.

I would suggest you always make backups, so if something gets lost on one PC, its not a big deal.

But in general, no. This should not delete any data.

    Regards,

    LightJack

    Hi,

since Valorant runs its anti-cheat software with very high privileges, it is possible that it has such an impact. It is unlikely though.

Make sure you have your Bitlocker Recovery Key if you have Device Encryption/Bitlocker enabled, and try to disable, and then reenable the TPM in the UEFI settings.

You can also reset it through Windows:

Hit Win+R, then type "tpm.msc" and hit enter. On the right, click "delete TPM".

Then reboot your Computer, that should reinitialize the TPM.

    Regards,

    LightJack
